Hi Benjamin

What a fantastic read (and part two also), a real insight into what's being read. I didn't realise Librarians had such an important input into what children read! After your first post I've asked my local Library to post a list of the top ten/twenty books that children are reading. I think it's really interesting to know what's popular, it gives a real insight into what kids are thinking....

Can't wait for part four!

Best Wishes

Hi Ben,

Thanks for this. It makes me realise how much opportunity there is out there :) Looked at the article about artwork in libraries too - marvellous. We need some of that spirit over here!

Hi Benjamin

Thanks for this series - it's been really useful and this last one is encouraging as my Jason Willow is fantasy/action (demon stuff), appealing to boys and got a good review in The School Librarian (Summer 08).

Any plans to interview bookshops (independents/associations/chains) with a view to finding out the same sort of info?

Cheers for now

Hi Benjamin

This is really interesting! I hope these librarians tell publishers what they want, because I'd love to write some of it for them. (Actually I already do . . .)

I haven't read part 1 and 2 yet, but will do so soon. Thanks for posting this.

All the best
